Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has put the country on the path of rapid development.He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Shangla Campus of Swat University in District Shangla on Sunday. The Governor said youth from Shangla will also be provided laptops under the Prime Minister Laptop Schemes. They will also benefit from the under Prime Minister Youth Training Programme and the Prime Minister Youth Business Loan Scheme. Speaking on the occasion, Adviser to Prime Minister Engineer Ameer Muqam said Prime Minister has also approved construction of four lane expressway connecting Besham with Khwazakhela, Swat. 


Chinese president has said that World leaders should avoid hollow negotiations,he was addressing the G20 summit which was started yesterday in China .The theme of the summit is 'Toward an Innovative, Invigorated, Interconnected and Inclusive World Economy'.Today China's President Xi Jinping has said the global economy is at a critical juncture with the threat of rising protectionism. Xi Jinping said some of the bigger risks to the global economy are sluggish demand, financial market volatility and feeble trade and investment. Chinese President Xi Jinping said that world leaders should avoid hollow negotiations.He said that meaningful negotiation is essential for economic development. It is worth mentioning that China is hosting the G-20 summit.

Topic 03: HEC budget increased by over 100 percent to promote quality education

Minister of State for Education and Interior, Baligh Ur Rehman says the annual budget of the Higher Education Commission has been increased from forty one billion rupees to ninety one billion rupees to promote quality education. He said that the government plans to set up universities or campuses in all districts of the country. He said the federal government has approved an eight hundred and sixty million rupees grant for the Islamia University, Bahawalpur while one hundred and twenty five acres land has been acquired to set up Sadiq Women University in Bahawalpur. Fiscal year 2016-17, 122 new projects would be initiated under the funds allocated to HEC. During the fiscal year 2016-17, 39 new schemes would be launched by HEC for which purpose an amount of Rs21488.481 million would be spent out of the total allocation of funds in the budget.

Topic 4:Mega projects under CPEC will highly benefit balochistan: Reheela

Balochistan Assembly Speaker Raheela Durrani says the federal and Balochistan governments are on the same page regarding implementation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and establishing complete peace in the province. She said the CPEC project will greatly benefit the people of Balochistan as mega projects are being implemented in the province under the corridor. Raheela Durrani said Pakistan has rightly grabbed the opportunity of CPEC for bringing about a turnaround in economic and infrastructure development in the country. She said women have key role in development, and the women in Balochistan are also now proactively participating in various sectors though they are facing some problems.

Topic 5: Air chief lauds role of national heroes in country's defense

The Chief of Air Staff says personnel of Pakistan Air Force live fight and die for their country to uphold its legacy. Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman has said that Pakistan Air Force has sound history of valour, gallantry and professional excellence in defence of motherland. He was addressing a function in connection with defence day to pay tribute to martyrs of 1965 war. The Air Chief said that great nations always remember its heroes and get inspiration from the history. He said that our great sons of soil have responded to the nation's calls and put their lives ahead of others to defend the motherland during 1965 war. He said that whole nation salutes our national heroes. He said that Pakistan Air Force personnel live, fight and die for the country to uphold its legacy.
