Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif says Punjab government has launched a mega project to ensure provision of clean drinking water to the masses.

He stated this while presiding over a high level meeting which reviewed the progress over the Punjab Water Roadmap in Lahore on Sunday.

The meeting approved restructuring of the Water and Sanitation Agency and procurement of mobile water testing laboratories.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said an amount of twenty five billion rupees has been allocated for Clean Drinking Water Project in the new budget 2017-18.

Chairing a meeting which reviewed Punjab Clean Cities Roadmap Program in Lahore Chief Minister says Punjab Clean Cities Roadmap Program has been launched in the seven cities of the Province in the first phase.

The Chief Minister said Clean Cities Program is being implemented in Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur and Sialkot through Solid Waste Management companies.
