India beat Pakistan by 124 runs in the rain-affected match of ICC Champions Trophy at Birmingham on Sunday.

Batting first, India scored 319 runs in 48 overs reduced due to rain interruptions. 

Rohit Sharma with 91, Virat Kohli 81 not out, Shikhar Dhawan 68, and Yuvraj Singh with 53 runs remained the main scorers from Indian side.  The damage was done in the last over by Hardik Pandya, who hit 3 sixes to Imad Wasim scoring 20 runs off just 8 balls. For Pakistan, Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan bagged one wicket each. 

Due to rain interruptions, the target was revised with Pakistan needing 289 in 41 overs according to Duckworth–Lewis (D/L) method.

Chasing a revised target of 289 runs, Pakistan were all out on 164 runs in 33.4 overs.

Azher Ali with 50 and Mohammad Hafeez with 33 runs remained main scorer from Pakistan side. For India, pacer Umesh Yadav claimed three, whereas all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets each.

The next match of the championship will be played between Australia and Bangladesh at The Oval on Monday.
