President stresses to expedite process of tax refunds to small industries
President Mamnoon Hussain says the process of tax refunds to small industries should be expedited and they should be provided all necessary facilities to further strengthen the country's economy. Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Electric Fan Manufacturers Association in Islamabad, he says that small industrialists can manufacture better products through proper usage of government concessions and exemptions. The President appreciates that Pakistani fan industry is manufacturing energy efficient fans which is of great significance in the context of current energy situation. He stresses the need for enhancing coordination between the fan industry and relevant ministries to further promote this trend so that issues of the industry could be resolved.
Minister for Planning and Development says nine special economic zones planned to be set up along CPEC
In his remarks at a high level 'preparatory meeting for special economic zones' under CPEC in Islamabad, Ahsan Iqbal regretts that rumors are being spread among the business community about economic zones. The enemies of the country earlier tried to create rift between provinces and the federation on CPEC and now trying to sabotage the project. The mega project is not a charity but an opportunity. This is best time to reap the benefits of the projects.

Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif expresses these views in a meeting with Chinese high powered delegation led by Administrator National Energy Administration Nur Bekri in Islamabad. The Minster says it is a big achievement which will not only cater for electricity requirements of the country but also provide life line to the CPEC in the long run. While underscoring the importance of tapping hydel potential of Pakistan, he says the Chinese expertise in the development of hydel projects can be best utilized by developing mega hydel projects on Indus River.
