The World Health Organization has said the clinical trials of different drugs to treat COVID-19 patients are in process.

Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, while talking to media in Geneva said the interim result of these trails are expected within the two weeks.

Speaking on the occasion, Mike Ryan, head of the World Health Organization's emergencies program said there is no proven vaccine against the disease as yet, while 18 such possible vaccines are being tested on humans.

World Health Organization officials defended their response to the virus and regretted the worldwide shortage of protective equipments during the pandemic.
