Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high level meeting in Islamabad today with the heads ofParliamentary parties. PM has said the government will make relentless efforts to highlight the plight of Kashmiri people at every international forum with the support of all political parties. The meeting was convened in the backdrop of Indian provocation both at the LoC and the diplomatic front. He said the political leadership stands united on matters of national importance, particularly for the Kashmir Cause. He noted that Kashmiri movement cannot be suppressed by the Indian brutalities. Kashmiris' struggle for their right to self-determination is legitimate and UNSC mandated. Kashmiris and Pakistanis are inseparable. He thanked the political leaders for their valuable inputs and suggestions saying the government will try to implement them as much as possible. Earlier, the parliamentary leaders attending the meeting gave a lucid message of unity against the Indian belligerence. In their remarks, they declared that the entire nation stands together when it comes to Kashmir issue and the Indian aggression.

Views of Political Leaders

Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq said that the Prime Minister's UNGA speech was highly reflective of the sentiments of the people of Pakistan. He said the political parties stand by the government and the valiant armed forces at this critical juncture. He said that the meeting should formulate a unified message today in the national interest. JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we need to forge national unity at this critical moment and collective voice and resolve of the entire nation is need of the hour. He said we need to denounce and highlight the brutal state oppression in IOK at political and diplomatic level. PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmoud Qureshi said today's moot conveys a clear message to India and the international community that the country's political parties are united in their stance on Kashmir dispute. He appreciated the Prime Minister's comprehensive speech at theUnited Nations saying the present government has taken positive steps regarding improvement in relations with India but regrettably, the other side has not reciprocated. Shah Mehmoud Qureshi said that the oppressed Kashmiri people have stood up against the Indian atrocities. He said India understands that there is no military solution to the dispute but still it is resorting to belligerence.Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that despite differences with government on multiple issues, his party stands shoulder to shoulder with it on Kashmir issue and the Indian aggression. He said this is a turning point in Indo-Pak relations. A united Pakistan can counter Indian aggression. He said by working together we can achieve our national security goals. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said there is no military solution to the Kashmir dispute. Leader of Opposition in the Senate Ch Aitzaz Ahsan said our  stance is very clear that Kashmir issue must be resolved as per aspirations of the Kashmiri people .We are with the government that Indus water treaty can't be revoked unilaterally by one country  . We stand behind the government for a befitting response if India tries to revoke it. PML (Q) leader Kamil Ali Aghasaid no compromise can be made on Pakistan defence . We are one nation and one voice on this issue.  He said Indian state sponsored terrorism is condemnable and we should expose Indian propagandaon Balochistan and Gilgit. He said Pakistan should work hard to forge new alliances at international forums. Ghulam Ahmad Bilour of Awami National Party said the prime minister's speech at the UNGA has given a new life to Kashmir dispute on diplomatic front. He congratulated the Prime Minister for holding the meeting of parliamentary leaders at this critical juncture.
