Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, son of Allama Iqbal, laid to rest

Justice Retired Javed Iqbal, the son of Philosopher, poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal, passed away in Lahore on Saturday after protracted illness. He was 91.
Javed Iqbal remained Chief Justice of Lahore High Court and the judge of Supreme Court.
Former Lahore High Court Chief Justice Javed Iqbal who died in Lahore on Saturday morning was laid to rest.
A large number of people belonging to different walks of life attended his funeral prayers.
Besides, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik, a large number of in-service and retired judges took part in the funeral.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have expressed deep grief over the demise of former Lahore High Court Chief Justice Javed Iqbal.
In separate condolence messages, they expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.
Lauding the legal and literary services of late Javed Iqbal, they said his death is a huge loss to the country and his services will be remembered for all times.
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana and Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and other leaders have also expressed shock over the death of retired Justice Javed Iqbal.
