Govt making efforts to improve health, education facilities in Thar: Khuhro
On Thar situation, Minister says millions of tons of wheat was distributed free of charge last year.
Senior Sindh Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that two-third majority was required in the provincial assembly to effect any bifurcation of the province.
Talking to media in Karachi, he said appointment of 50 percent officers of Grade 17 to Grade 21 from DMG Group in the Education Department will help in improving the management of the department, he added.
Responding to a question, the Sindh Education Minister said that hundreds of teachers had been placed under suspension on charge of absence from duty and this process was still under progress.
About Thar situation, the Minister said the millions of tons of wheat was distributed free of charge last year and a similar process was also being carried out this year.
The government was making all out efforts to improve health and education facilities in Thar district.
