Prof. Abdul Basit (IR Expert):
A high profile delegation of US Senators is on a visit to Pakistan. The delegation visited Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region which has almost been cleared from militant groups and appreciated the determination and grit of all affected Pakistani soldiers and their unparalleled sacrifice for their motherland. In my opinion the recent visit of US Senators will be constructive in relation with Pak-US bilateral relations. Pakistan should urge United States to force India to stop its aggression at LoC and the Working Boundary and its terrorist activities in Pakistan using Afghan land.
Dr. Zahid Anwar (IR Expert):
The visit of high level US Senators delegation is vital in current circumstances. United States is well aware of the fact that peace and stability in Afghanistan is not possible without the support of Pakistan. US Senators have also appreciated Pakistan’s role in war against terrorism. Senator John McCain also appreciated the prudent economic policies of the government and emphasized on mutual trade and investment cooperation between both the countries.
