Religious scholars vow to resolve all issues through mutual consultation
Religious scholars belonging to all the sects have vowed to resolve all issues through mutual consultation to foil conspiracies of enemy of the country.
This was stated in a joint declaration issued at the conclusion of meeting of the National Ulema and Mashaikh Council in Islamabad on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf and it was attended by religious scholars of all the sects.
The declaration stated that there is no sectarian issue in the country and all the religious scholars will work together for promotion of religious harmony and brotherhood.
The meeting strongly condemned the Parachinar incident and extended complete support to the government to bring the culprits involved in the incident to justice.
The participants of the meeting lauded the efforts of the government and the security forces for their efforts for rehabilitations of the affectees.
They also suggested broadcast of special programmes on television and Radio for promotion of harmony.
The National Ulema Council declared suicide attacks as Haram.
