Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has arrived in PM office in Islamabad. High officials welcomed Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi . Armed forces presented salute to the new PM on the occasion. National Anthem was played and guard of honour was presented on his arrival at pm office. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the consultations over formation of Federal Cabinet are in progress and the Cabinet members will take Oath within two days.

Beijing vows to work with Islamabad to carry ahead CPEC 

China has warmly congratulated Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on assuming the post of prime minister of Pakistan. Spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry, Geng Shuang, in a statement in Beijing, said that the new Pakistan’s government would stay committed to maintaining national unity and stability and promoting economic and social development.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad: 15 suspects arrested in Punjab, Sindh

Pakistan Rangers Sindh has arrested eight suspected criminals in various parts of Karachi. A statement issued by Rangers in Karachi said the accused were involved in target killings, forced closure of shops and arson. Punjab Rangers and Counter Terrorism Department have also arrested five terrorists during a search operation in Lahore.

A British parliamentary delegation, on a visit to Pakistan, has expressed concern over the deteriorating human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir. Addressing a news conference along with AJK President Sardar Masood Khan in Islamabad today members of the delegation said the world should take cognizance of the genocide of Kashmiri people in the occupied valley.

Indian troops martyr two more Kashmiri youth in Kulgam: Two Indian troops including major killed in Shopian attack 

In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Kulgam district. The troops killed the youth, Aqib Ahmad Itoo and Suhail Ahmed, during a cordon and search operation at Gopalpora in Damhal Hanjipora area of the district.

US sanctions 'violate' nuclear deal, says Iran 

Iran said that new sanctions imposed by the United States had violated its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers and that the country would respond. We believe that the nuclear deal has been violated and we will react appropriately," deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi.

UN urges all countries to keep weapons from terrorist groups 

The UN Security Council has unanimously adopted a resolution urging all countries to eliminate the supply of weapons to ISIS extremist group and other “terrorists,” including by taking legal action against suppliers and marking arms to improve their traceability.
