New Prime Minister’s resolve to complete all the projects started by the PML-N government within the stipulated time period

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the policies of PML-N government will continue with focus on energy, motorway, dams, investment and other ongoing development projects. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the consultations over formation of Federal Cabinet are in progress and the Cabinet members will take oath within two days. Talking to newsmen in Murree on Wednesday evening, he said portfolios of the Federal Cabinet members will be allocated after consultations with the PML-N top hierarchy. The Prime Minister said that development projects under CPEC will be completed at fast-track across the country.

Among the priorities he mentioned include overcoming the energy crisis, curtailing the menace of terrorism and increasing the tax base. With the election of new Prime Minister the atmosphere of uncertainty has been removed and investors are more confident that all development projects will be completed on time.”

Pakistan wants peace and stability in Afghanistan - COAS, Afghan envoy discuss border management in wake of Herat attack

Afghanistan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Omar Zakhilwal called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi. According to ISPR, matters of mutual interest including security situation and border management were discussed during the meeting. The Army Chief expressed his grief over loss of innocent lives in recent terrorist’s attacks in Afghanistan.

Pakistan has done a tremendous job to eradicate the menace of terrorism. Our valiant forces have rendered their lives to bring peace and stability in the country. Afghanistan is facing a lot of challenges. The meeting between Army Chief and Afghan ambassador will help resolve the issues between the two countries and will reduce tensions.”

Operation Raddul Fasaad- Security forces arrests fifteen suspects in Punjab and Sindh provinces

Punjab Rangers along with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab Police and intelligence agencies have arrested five terrorists during search operations in Lahore.  According to an ISPR statement, the arrested terrorists were affiliated with banned organizations, Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Pakistan Rangers Sindh has arrested eight suspected criminals in various parts of Karachi. A statement issued by Rangers in Karachi said the accused were involved in target killings, forced closure of shop.
