Parliamentary Secretary for Defense says Prime Minister is making efforts to promote unity of Muslim countries
Parliamentary Secretary for Defense, Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal says Pakistan desires peaceful resolution of Yemen crisis.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan, he said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is personally monitoring the Middle East situation and making efforts for the promotion of unity amongst Muslim Ummah.
He said a joint sitting of the parliament has also been convened in order to take the house into confidence on the matter.
Member National Assembly Sheikh Rohail Asghar said Pakistan enjoys special status in the Muslim world and it has always played positive and concrete role in bringing the Muslim countries closer.
Analyst Ashfaq Gondal, in his remarks, termed Prime Minister's visit to Turkey as very important. He appreciated government's timely efforts for evacuation of Pakistanis stranded in Yemen.
