The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has welcomed a framework agreement between Iran and six major world countries on Tehran's nuclear programme.

Under the agreement Iran is to allow the IAEA more access to its nuclear sites.

In a statement, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said the agency will be ready to fulfill its role in verifying the implementation of nuclear related measures, once the agreement is finalized.

Six world powers and Iran have set 30th of June deadline for a final deal.
