The United States says it is committed to help solve the economic challenges being faced by Pakistan.

Addressing a meeting of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry today, U.S Consul General Zachary Harkenrider said a large part of US assistance to Pakistan is focused on energy sector.

He said there is a great potential for stronger economic and trade ties between the two countries. He stressed the need for enhancing bilateral trade.

LCCI President Ijaz A. Mumtaz urged the US Consulate to start the visa processing facility at US Consulate Lahore Office.
