World Bank will extend Pakistan technical and financial support to eradicate smog and rehabilitation of the ecosystem.
This was stated by Country Director World Bank Illango Patchamuthu during a meeting with Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
The Country Director appreciated the steps taken by the incumbent government to protect environment. He assured full cooperation to the Advisor in this regard.
Malik Amin Aslam apprised Illango Patchamuthu that environment is a provincial subject after the passage of 18th amendment, but federal government is providing full cooperation to increase capacity of the provinces.
They also discussed measures to control smog in detail.
