Former Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and former Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid will meet in Lahore today again, to finalize a name for caretaker Chief Minister for the province.

PML (N) has proposed two more names for consideration for Caretaker Chief Minister's nomination in Punjab.

They are former Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah and former DG, IB Aftab Sultan.

Earlier, PML (N) had proposed two names, including Justice (R) Sair Ali and former IG Punjab, Tariq Saleem Dogar.

PTI has already proposed four names, including Dr. Hassan Askari, Yaqub Izhar, Ayaz Amir and Orya Maqbool Jan for the slot.

In Balochistan, another round of talks is expected to be held today to end stalemate over nomination of a caretaker Chief Minister for the province.  

In this connection, four rounds of talks have already been held between former Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and former Leader of Opposition in Balochistan Provincial Assembly Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal but these remained inconclusive.

However, if consensus could not be reached in today's parleys, then the issue would be submitted to the Parliamentary Committee of the House for its consideration.
