PM performs groundbreaking of Lahore Eastern bypass at Kala-Shah Kaku
The 16.5 kilometer long bypass will be completed at a cost 24 billion rupees. Situated in the east of Lahore, this bypass will connect with Lahore Ring Road at a distance of 3.3 kilometer from Niazi interchange. This bypass will start from Mehmood Booti interchange and end at GT Road and Lahore-Islamabad Motorway junction at Kala-Shah Kaku interchange. It will consist of six lanes, each having 3.65 meter width while the outer shoulder will be three meter and inner shoulder will be one meter wide.

All areas of the country are being linked through motorways and highways networks. The government will come into power in the next election on the basis of its performance. Topic 02: Attack in Peshawar - Security Forces promptly responded and all terrorists killed
According to ISPR, 4 suicide bombers with arms and ammo entered Christian colony Warsak after hitting a security guard at 0550 hrs this morning. Security Forces promptly responded and surrounded the area. Exchange of fire took place and all 4 terrorists were killed. 2 FC soldiers, a police constable and 2 civilian guards were injured in exchange of fire with Terrorists. Soldiers backed by Army helicopters exchanged gunfire with militants in suicide vests who entered the colony around 6am after hitting a security guard.
COAS appreciated Army, Frontier Corps and Police for prompt and effective response and defeating the terrorists’ attempt. Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over successfully foiling the attack in Peshawar by 4 suicide bombers. Nawaz Sharif commended the efforts of the security officials for successfully neutralizing the terrorists without any loss of life and property of the people.
At least 14 killed, 54 wounded in suicide blast at Mardan district courts
According to police sources, the martyrs include one policeman, two lawyers and eight civilians. The suicide bomber first hurled a hand grenade at the gate to create panic and then blew him up. The injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Mardan and Mardan Medical Complex.
President Mamnoon Hussain has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Mardan. Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that terrorists shall not get space to hide in Pakistan. In his condemnation message, the Prime Minister said these receding elements are showing frustration by attacking soft targets. He said these cowardly attacks cannot shatter our unflinching resolve in our war against terrorism. The Prime Minister strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Mardan today. He expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls and grant of courage to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
