PML-N inflicted a crushing blow to its prime rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) by winning 186 seats from Lahore. The credit of this achievement goes to the leadership of PML-N because the party has mainly focused on welfare of the people of the country. PPP led the poll count from Sindh with a total of 541 seats in the Sindh province. The results in Sindh express love and affection of Sindhi people for Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s party.”
Senior journalist Haji Nawaz Raza said: “The credit of success of PML-N in Punjab goes to Mian Shahbaz Sharif. The provincial government of Punjab has done much for the people of province and the success in LG elections in 12 districts is proof of that. According to a survey, Mian Shahbaz Sharif has played a vital role in development of Punjab as compared to other CMs. PTI once again remained unsuccessful and is still alleging rigging in LG elections. PPP was the main political party of Pakistan in 1970s but the results of LG elections have proved that now it is the party of Sindh only.”
