In a statement, UN Secretary-General, Spokesman Stephane Dujarric also expressed concern over situation in Occupied Kashmir. He said the world body is closely monitoring the situation in the held valley.

Paris climate deal: Dismay as Trump signals exit from accord

There has been widespread international condemnation of President Trump's announcement that the US is withdrawing from the 2015 Paris climate agreement. The White House has asked the US Supreme Court to reinstate a travel ban on people from majority Muslim countries. The ban has been blocked by lower courts which have said that it is discriminatory. At least 36 dead in attack on Philippines casino: Officials

In Philippine, at least 36 people were killed when a gunman burst into a casino and hotel complex in capital Manila. The gunman also fired shots and set gaming tables alight. According to Police, the gunman later killed himself by setting on fire.

Turkey agrees to resume Cyprus peace talks

Turkey has agreed to resume Cyprus peace talks in Geneva or in Cyprus without any preconditions. This was announced by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu while speaking at a joint press conference with the Turkish Cypriot President Mustafa Akinci in the Lefkosa. He said that a result-oriented process must be followed for a permanent and fair peace.
