Pakistan fully supports all efforts for peace, stability in Afghanistan
Pakistan wants peace and stability in Afghanistan and ready to support all efforts towards this end.
This was stated by National Security Adviser said that Nasser Janjua while talking to British High Commissioner Thomas Drew in Islamabad on Friday.
Two sides discussed prevailing security situation in the region with special reference to security situation in Afghanistan and status of Pak-India relations. Both sides condemned and expressed condolence on recent bomb attack in Kabul.
Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Honardoost also called on National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Jaunjua in Islamabad on Friday.
Matters pertaining to the enhancement of bilateral relations, issues of security and border management came under discussion.
Nasser Janjua said that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Iran and is committed to overcome all irritants for its improvement. Both sides agreed to boost up the level of cooperation in multiple areas to strengthen bilateral relations and to improve border management through better coordination and cooperation.
Meanwhile Ambassador of Japan Takashi Kurai met him and discussed matters pertaining to improvement of bilateral relations and regional security situations. The two sides expressed support for constructive efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.
He reiterated that Pakistan has always supported all peace endeavours towards India and Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan regards Japan as a close friend and a reliable economic partner.
