Serving of nation govt's top priority: Abid
Says PM Nawaz Sharif will continue his efforts for a developed Pakistan despite hurdles by the opponents.
Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said serving of nation is the top priority of the government.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Sunday, he said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will continue his efforts for a developed Pakistan despite hurdles by the opponents.
He demanded Supreme Court of Pakistan to take notice of statements of opposition regarding investigation of Joint Investigation Team probing panama case. He said the opponents are issuing statements like a spokesperson of JIT and PML-N has reservations on these acts.
He said the rolling party respects national institutions and expects fair, transparent and merit based investigation by JIT. He said the opponents has completely failed to produce sufficient evidence and documentary proof in connection with allegations of corruption and money laundering against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family. He said, despite having right of immunity, the Prime Minister did not availed plea of exception from the court.
The Minister of State said that the negative politics of PTI Chief Imran Khan is a threat for democracy in the country. He said advised Imran Khan that he should also follow the prime minister and appear before the courts for accountability of allegations leveled against him.
