While talking to journalists in Islamabad yesterday, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz says relations between the two countries are improving after a recent meeting of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on the sidelines of SCO Summit in Astana. Consultations are under way on Pakistan-Afghanistan coordination mechanism for peace and stability in the region. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Tajikistan on Wednesday to attend Pakistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan Summit.
Meanwhile, Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria, in an interview, says India is involved in terror financing and terrorist activities in Pakistan. India has been using the soil of Afghanistan against Pakistan to promote terrorism. 

Top level meeting chaired by Prime Minister discusses regional security situation and Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says trade, investment and scientific collaboration should be the strategic pillars of Pakistan’s foreign Policy. He was chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad on Friday to review foreign policy priorities of the country in the wake of recent developments in and around Pakistan and the emerging global and regional scenario. The Prime Minister says Pakistan attaches high importance to its continued partnership with the United States and stressed the need for securing peace and stability in the region through sustained dialogue. Nawaz Sharif also emphasized to proactively highlight the serious human right violations being committed in the Indian Occupied Kashmir and the denial of the right of self-determination to Kashmiris. He expressed his disappointment over the complete silence in the US-India joint statement on the atrocities being committed by the Indian Security Forces against innocent Kashmiris.

Nation celebrated Eid ul Fitr with simplicity in wake of recent tragedies

Three tragic incidents of Quetta, Parachinar and Ahmadpur Sharqia saddened the whole Muslim community across the world. Over two hundred precious lives were lost and several injured in these incidents. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says a proper inquiry into oil tanker fire tragedy will be conducted to ascertain facts.
Speaking at the site of tragedy, Nawaz Sharif says inquiry is indispensable to avert such incidents in future. Meanwhile, The Prime Minister directs Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra to distribute relief cheques among the victims of Parachinar terrorism incident.
