Govt taking steps for protection of environment, forests and wildlife in Sindh

Sindh government is taking concrete steps for the protection of environment, forests and wildlife in the province under the Green Pakistan Program.
An official of provincial government informed our Karachi correspondent Muhammad Waqas that over five hundred thirteen million rupees have been earmarked in current financial year, for this purpose.
He said Mangroves have been planted on over thirty-seven thousand acres of coastal areas for protection of environment and coastal land.
The sources said government has earmarked four hundred forty-eight million rupees for the revival of forestry resources and plantation while sixty-five million rupees will be spent for revival of wildlife resources during the current year.
