South Korean opposition seeking to impeach Park
In South Korea, the main opposition parties today announced to push for a vote next week on President Park Geun-hye's impeachment.
The opposition had earlier planned to call for a vote this week.
The largest opposition Democratic Party announced in Seoul that it would not negotiate with President Park's party on her proposal to step down and the only way left to go is impeachment under the constitution.
Earlier, President Park had offered to leave office if parliament arranges a safe transfer of power.
