Former Director Programmes Radio Pakistan, Sabih Mohsin was laid to rest in Karachi Saturday afternoon. He was 80.

Sabih Mohsin was a brilliant broadcaster and playwright. According to family sources, he had slipped at his home and sustained injuries before Ramazan. He had been recovering satisfactorily, but all of a sudden his condition deteriorated on Friday and he passed away.

Sabih Mohsin wrote radio reviews for the Dawn for years. He used the pen-name of Desnavi, which was derived from Desna, a village in Bihar, India, from where he had migrated to Pakistan. He worked at Dawn for some time after retirement from Radio Pakistan.

Director General Radio Pakistan Samina Parvez, in a message, has expressed shock over the sad demise of Sabih Mohsin. She has expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
