Governor stresses development of fisheries sector
Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar was addressing Feeding Pakistan Aqua-Culture Conference.
A 2-day Feeding Pakistan Aqua-Culture Conference began in Lahore on Wednesday.
Opening the conference, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that Pakistan has a great potential in the fisheries sector, and its exports can be increased from the existing two hundred million dollars to one billion dollars.
He called upon the delegates and the experts to formulate a strategy helpful in further utilizing the potential and promoting the fisheries sector.
Our representative Muhammad Abrahim Kawan reports that nearly two hundred experts and delegates from a number of countries including Canada and America, besides host Pakistan, are attending the conference.
