Britain to assist Pakistan in security, counterterrorism

The understanding came at delegation level talks between the two countries in Islamabad today (Wednesday). The Pakistani side was led by Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz while the British side was headed by National Security Advisor Kim Darroch.
The two sides discussed counterterrorism, regional security and issues of mutual interest, including Afghanistan.
Talks on issues of national security are part of the Pakistan-UK cooperation under Enhanced Strategic Dialogue.
