Abbas signs intâ€™l conventions for recognition of Palestine
Palestinian President expresses his anger at Israel's delay of a prisoner release.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in a surprise move has signed more than a dozen international conventions to solidifying their position for recognition of a state of Palestine .
He signed these conventions in Ramallah despite a previous promise to suspend such unilateral efforts during nine months of peace talks with Israel.
Abbas expressed his anger at Israel's delay of a prisoners release in a decision that jeopardized US efforts to salvage fragile peace talks.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State John Kerry has cancelled his planned visit to the Middle East today.
He has however, urged both the sides to show restraint.
