In Turkey , polling is underway for the second general election in five months to elect 550 members to the Grand National Assembly.

Today's election was called after the Justice and Development Party, or AK Party, lost its parliamentary majority in previous elections held in June this year for the first time in 13 years and then failed to reach power-sharing agreement with other parties.

Security is the key issue in the election after weeks of violence involving Kurdish militants and bomb attacks blamed on the Islamic State group.
