In occupied Kashmir, the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq says Kashmir is a political dispute that needed a political solution.

Addressing a public gathering at Kangan in Ganderbal district, he said Conspiracies are being hatched to divide Kashmir but Kashmiris will fight these conspiracies tooth and nail.

He said the trifurcation of the territory will not be allowed at any cost and vowed that divisive forces will eventually be defeated.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said the Indian leadership needed to understand that only a political resolution and not economic packages could resolve the vexed Kashmir dispute.

He warrened that New Delhi cannot make people to give up their fight to self-determination by extending doles and announcing economic packages.

He reiterated Hurriyet Conference stands for resolution of Kashmir dispute as per the United Nations resolutions or through a tripartite dialogue involving India, Islamabad and the real leadership of Kashmir.
