Germany and China have agreed for extending their relationships to contribute to stability in the world in an increasingly uncertain global environment.

This was announced by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in a joint media briefing after talks in Berlin today.

Both the leaders have pledged to enforce Paris deal Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has called for joint efforts to promote trade liberalization and investment facilitation during his visit to Germany. He also reiterated China's support for the European integration process.

Angela Merkel expressed appreciation for China's support for the European integration, and wished for a fruitful meeting between Li and the EU leaders.
