Pakistan and Sweden have agreed to further enhance their bilateral economic ties .

The understanding came during meeting of Special Representative of the Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The Adviser briefed the Swedish delegation about Pakistan’s counter terrorism efforts, the successes achieved during the military operation Zarb-e-Azb, as well as the National Action Plan to root out the menace of terrorism and extremism from soil.

The Swedish Special Representative appreciated Pakistan’s progress in the consolidation of democracy, improvement in economy and defeating terrorism. He also acknowledged Pakistan’s positive role for regional peace and stability.
