President Mamnoon Hussain addresses the joint session of the parliament at 11am today (Monday).

It will be his first address to the joint session of the parliament, which will start the second parliamentary year of the current National Assembly.

Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate, Speakers, Governors, Chief Ministers, AJK President and Prime Minister, the three services chiefs and diplomats will attend the session on special invitation.

President Mamnoon Hussain is likely to highlight achievements of the government and issue guidelines for future course of action.

Under the clause 56(3) of the Constitution, President addresses the parliament at the opening of every parliamentary year and gives directions on the policy guidelines.
