Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal says a long-term plan has been chalked out to boost national exports up-to one hundred and fifty billion dollars till 2025.

Talking to various delegations in Narowal on Sunday, he said the private sector will also be taken on board to achieve the goal.

He said a nationwide campaign will soon be launched to seek inputs from chambers of Commerce and Industry in this regard.

The Minister said on its part the government will provide business friendly atmosphere to the industrial sector and exporters at all cost. 

He said the government is working to promote middle class and provide them opportunities to improve their income.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government has provided funds to purchase new locomotives for railways despite having scarcity of funds. 

In an interview, the minister said the government is spending huge amount to achieve progress in energy, health, and communication sectors. He said that all important steps are being taken to improve the living standard of the people and several public welfare projects are being completed to achieve the objectives. 

He said that PML-N government was focusing on energy, transport and road sectors to stabilize the economy in a befitting manner. 

Ahsan Iqbal said that all available resources were being utilized to  make the country an economic hub.  

Replying to another question, the minister said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had a great vision to work for peace and development in the region.
