China has urged Japan not to stir up enmity and mislead people regarding maritime disputes.
In a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed concern over Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's recent statement that his country would give its utmost support to some of the Asian countries in their maritime claims.
He said Japan should abide by international law while addressing territorial and maritime disputes with its neighbors.
