Analysts hail President address to Parliamentâ€™s joint session
Participants of â€˜Aaj Ki Khabarâ€™ programme say democracy is gaining strength in Pakistan.
President Mamnoon Hussain will address joint session of the Parliament tomorrow (Monday).
It will be his first address to the joint session of the Parliament, which will start the second parliamentary year of the current National Assembly.
President Mamnoon Hussain is likely to highlight achievements of the government and issue guidelines for future course of action.
Speaking in ‘Aaj Ki Khabar’ programme of Radio Pakistan, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said” Democracy is strengthening in Pakistan. In his address to the joint session of the Parliament, President Mamnoon Hussain will highlight one-year performance of democratically elected government.
Taking part in the programme, senior Journalist CR Shamsi said: “President’s address to the joint session of the Parliament is a constitutional requirement. Democracy is strengthening in Pakistan. All democratically-elected institutions are working within their constitutional boundaries in the country.”
