Stable Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan-Consultations under way on Pak-Afghan coordination for peace , stability

He said relations between the two countries are improving after a recent meeting of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on the sidelines of SCO Summit in Astana. The Advisor said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Tajikistan on Wednesday to attend Pakistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan Summit.

The peace in Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan and the region as well. The new US administration is well aware of Pakistan’s importance in the region as Pakistan could play a dominant role for peace in Afghanistan . Pakistan is fighting a crucial and decisive war against terrorism and rendered many sacrifices in this regard so far which is also acknowledged and appreciated by the world.

The US State Department has said that the designation of Hizbul Mujahideen leader Syed Salahuddin as a global terrorist does not reflect a change in the US policy on Kashmir.

US declared Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salah-ud-din a global terrorist but it will not reflect a change in the US policy on Kashmir. US position on Kashmir show that while eager to forge a close relationship with India, the United States also wants to maintain its ties with Pakistan . It is a dispute that needed to be resolved peacefully as it is main cause of Indo-Pak tensions. Without resolving this core dispute peace in the region will always be at stake.
