Strongly condemning terrorist attack in Istanbul, Prime Minister has urged the world to put up joint fight against terrorism.

PM-CONDEMNATION

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terror attack at Istanbul in Turkey on eve of new year.

 

In a statement on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Turkey over loss of precious human lives in the attack.

 

He said Pakistani people share the grief of Turkish people and stand by them, in this most painful time.

 

Nawaz Sharif said terrorism is our common enemy and the world needs to put up a joint fight against this menace.

 

He said Pakistan itself has suffered great losses of lives and property by terrorism and would continue to ensure all measures for its eradication.

                     

AYAZ:

Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq says Pakistan has entered a new year of development, prosperity and stability.

 

In a message on advent of 2017, he expressed the hope that Pakistan would overcome all challenges.

                 

MARRIYUM:

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed the hope that 2017 will be the year of unity and working towards prosperity of the country.

 

In a message to wish a safe and happy new year to the nation, she supplicated to Allah that He may shower his infinite blessings on people of Pakistan and bestow upon each of us the wisdom and ability to work towards peace, prosperity and progress of the country.

 

She said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has driven an agenda that is catapulting Pakistan towards an economic turnaround and making great strides in the areas of energy, infrastructure, health and education.

 

ZEHRI:

Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri says government will continue its efforts during the new year for progress and prosperity of the province.

 

In a message on commencement of 2017, he said steps will be taken to eradicate poverty and enhance literacy rate in the province.

 

The Chief Minister said China Pakistan Economic Corridor project would change the fate of people of entire region.                                                                                                              

 

COMMISSION

Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission has decided to construct two new cancer hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 

Sources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department told our Peshawar correspondent that these hospitals will be constructed in Mardan and Chitral. 

 

The Commission will also expand three existing cancer hospitals in Peshawar, Abbottabad and Dera Ismail Khan.

 

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will provide land for construction and expansion of these cancer hospitals.

 

TERRORISTS:

Two terrorists were arrested in Peshawar on Sunday.

 

Arms and ammunition were also recovered from them.

                 

KOREA:

North Korea is set to test-launch an intercontinental ballistic missile. 

 

This was stated by the country's leader Kim Jong Un in a televised speech.

 

He said research and development of cutting edge arms equipment is actively progressing and ICBM rocket test launch preparation is in its last stage.

                  

INDONESIA:

In Indonesia, five people were killed after a fire ripped through a boat carrying tourists to islands north of capital Jakarta on Sunday.

 

A spokesman of the local police said seventeen people were also injured in the incident. The authorities saved ninety eight people in a rescue operation.
