PLDDB increases milk production capacity from 5 liters to over 8 liters per animal
Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Board launches 60kg silage bale project for 90% small farmers.
Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Board (PLDDB) has increased its milk production capacity from five liters to over eight liters per animal at its Livestock Experiment Station Khizerabad, Punjab during the last year.
According to annual progress report of the Board for 2016, PLDDB has launched sixty kilogram silage bale project for ninety percent small farmers.
The department also started Fodder Research and Development Cell to add the value in crop residues available in all districts of Punjab.
PLDDB has signed agreement with University of Agriculture Faisalabad to make joint efforts for academia and industry.
