Pakistan strongly condemns terror attack in Istanbul- Joint efforts by world community needed for defeating terrorism
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terror attack at Istanbul, Turkey on New Year's eve. In a statement on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Turkey on the loss of precious human lives in the attack. He said Pakistani people share the grief of Turkish people and stand by them, in this most painful time. Earlier, about 39 killed in New Year terror attack in Turkey- President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says the attackers were trying to "create chaos" and pledged to "fight to the end" against terrorism.

Gen Bajwa breaks the ice with Kabul- Army Chief telephoned Afghan leadership and expressed resolve to work together with Afghanistan for Peace in the Region
“Peace in both countries is in the greater interest of the region.” General Bajwa. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa conveyed wishes on telephone to the Afghan civil and military leadership for the New Year and pledged to work for peace in the region. The Afghan leadership invited the General Qamar Javed Bajwa for a visit to Afghanistan.
Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir- Over 300 hundred innocent Kashmiris were martyred by occupation forces during indigenous uprising in 2016
In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 303 innocent Kashmiris including 9 women and 42 teenagers during the year 2016. According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, 39 of those martyred were killed in custody. The killings rendered 25 women widowed and 58 children orphaned. Indian paramilitary and police personnel subjected 19,011 civilians to torture, while 12,604 including Hurriyet leaders, activists, students and women leaders were arrested.
