The Sindh Health Department is carrying out a number of projects in Karachi to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of metropolis.

An official of the health department told our Karachi representative Malahat Saulat that during the current financial year a number of schemes for construction of new health facilities are being launched that include construction of an Accident Emergency / Trauma Centre in New Karachi area at an estimate cost of more than 687 million rupees while a 100 bed hospital in Orangi Town and Rehabilitation Centre for burns patients in Landhi will also be constructed at a cost of more than 450 million rupees and 252 million rupees respectively.

The department will also construct two basic health units at Shah Faisal Colony and Korangi area to facilitate the people there.
