A three day countrywide rain spell with snowfall over the hills has begun from today.

Partly cloudy weather conditions with light rain and snowfall over the hills are expected at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Quetta, Zhob divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit and Kashmir on Sunday. Islamabad received a drizzle on Sunday morning.

Met office says a westerly wave has entered into Pakistan and is expected to persist in upper parts of the country till Tuesday.

It will bring rains and snowfall over the hills in Lower Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, north Balochistan, South Punjab and upper Sindh.

Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning: Islamabad and Lahore 9 degree centigrade, Karachi 21, Peshawar 10, Quetta 6, Gilgit -1, Murree 2 and Muzaffarabad 5 degree centigrade.
