A spokesperson of the Ministry of Petroleum has said there is no shortage of petrol in the country.     

In a statement, he said 14728 metric tons of petrol was supplied to the petrol pumps by noon on Sunday.     

The spokesperson said average consumption of the petrol in the country is twelve thousand metric tons daily. He said oil companies have stock of ninety thousand metric tons of petrol.

He said thirty two metric ton of additional petrol is being off-loaded at Karachi Seaport. He said eleven more ships carrying three hundred fifty thousand metric tons of petrol will reach Pakistan during this month.        

He said demand and supply of the commodity is being monitored round the clock.
