The government is providing subsistence allowance to low-income families through Benazir Income support Programme.

Talking to Radio Pakistan's correspondent Zainab Fiaz in Faisalabad today, BISP spokesman said a sum of one hundred and eighteen billion rupees has been allocated in current financial year to provide cash assistance worth fifteen hundred rupees to five point five million deserving families.

The Spokesman said long-term interest-free loans, vocational and technical training, and health insurance cover are also being provided to the enrolled families.
