Economic development top priority: PM
Talking with Japanese Dy. FM Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan looks forward to enhanced Japanese cooperation in diverse fields.
Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Shinsuke J. Sugiyama called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad today.
Talking to him the Prime Minister said economic development is the government's top most priority.
He said economic stability and implementation of Pakistan's development agenda is essential for our success, which in turn is vital for regional peace and security.
Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan looks forward to enhanced Japanese cooperation in energy, trade, investment, security and institution and capacity building.
He said Japanese technological assistance in gasification of Thar coal will be of immense benefit to overcome the energy shortage in Pakistan.
