Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says government is according top priority to economic development as it is vital for country’s progress.

Talking to Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Shinsuke J. Sugiyama in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said economic stability is vital for regional peace and security.

The Prime Minister appreciated Japan’s assistance in a number of projects focusing on Pakistan’s socio-economic needs in various social, educational and health sectors.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said Japan’s technological assistance in gasification of Thar coal will help country overcome energy deficiency.
