Twenty-second anniversary of Radio Pakistan's FM-101 Channel was celebrated at National Broadcasting House in Islamabad on Thursday.
Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Ms Ambreen Jan and Director Programmes Ms Khalida Nuzhat performed the cake cutting ceremony on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambreen Jan said FM-101 is a vibrant channel of youth and lauded the quality of content being presented on it. She urged team FM-101 to continue building connections to come up with the aspirations of the people.
In her message to create awareness about breast cancer, the DG said FM-101 is playing a pivotal role in creating awareness among masses to fight breast cancer. She asked the FM-101 management to air messages of important personalities about breast cancer and up-date the people regarding helplines of relevant departments in this regard.
Director Programmes Khalida Nuzhat said FM-101 broadcasts its transmission round the clock for the listeners. She said people can listen to our transmission on Facebook or Radio Pakistan's mobile App. She said special programmes are arranged on Eid, Independence Day, and other occasions. Besides, national FM-101 presents programmes in regional languages too. She said leading figures of various public departments are invited to participate in our programmes to educate the general public.
She said moral traditions, patriotism, entertainment are the hallmark of our programmes that is why FM-101 is called a family channel.
Controller FM-101 Shamim Anjum and other members of channel thanked the Director General for gracing the occasion.
